News clipping: Toronto Star on Peter Island

News clippings

You know winter is coming when travel pieces about the Caribbean start popping up in the press with increasing frequency. (Heck, you know winter is coming when snow blankets the Northeast, but never mind that — some surfers I know are awfully excited about the waves that particular cold front will be bringing the VI.)

Muhammad Lila, a news anchor for the CBC, recently wrote about his BVI vacation in the Toronto Star. Lila admits a certain skepticism about the idea of Caribbean vacation, but after some hiking, boating, and sampling of the high life on Peter Island he’s not surprisingly changed his tune.

And though he gets the important things right, I’m quite certain that contrary to what Lila tells us Canadian citizens don’t need a visa to enter the BVI and I know that we don’t use the British pound, an error which leads me to think that travel writers on assignment don’t have to concern themselves with things like currency. Where do I apply?
